Feeding Time and What Everyone's Thinking

Today is the good tuna in the skinny can." " Yep, that's right," pipes in the tuxedo kitty. "Today, it's my turn to lick up all the juice. No one saw the huge fur deposit I made in the cat tree so they are thinking, I have been the perfect resident. I get first dibs. " "You over there! Yes, the new orange kitty in our room. As a rookie, it's your job to tie bibs around our necks so when the cart comes in, we're ready to EAT!" "Whoa!! Here it comes," alerts the buff colored cat with the big belly. "I'm getting it all!" All trot to the door as the cart gently makes its most anticipated appearance of the day. All is well in Room L1.

It can't get any better than this. Bliss (lt) home at last with her new best buddy, Toby. Her travel took her through 2 states to find the perfect match and by the looks of things, the effort made was more than worthwhile.

Poor, Poor Jake

Times are rough and tough for poor Jake. He certainly looks like a homeless kitty to me. Maybe we can get someone to sponsor him? I mean he has erected a cardboard house using discarded suppies. Next thing you know, he will be sneaking into the T&E building, grabbing stacks of newspaper and burning them just to stay warm. I think I can hear him rubbing his furry little paws together even as I type. Did I mention, poor Jake?

Here at the Scratching Post, not only do I do an amazing job balancing on this holiday tin, BUT I am also in charge of distributing what's inside. Special cat treats reside inside and when I am feeling particularly benevolent, I gingerly lift off the lid and share the yummy delights with my roommates. If you look closely...or maybe you don't need to...you'll see I MIGHT have a few extra pounds on me, but I SWEAR it's not because I am treating the tin as a self serve eatery just for me! Tiny Things in Great Packages!

Caregiver Ashley has found all kinds of "goodies" in the food bowls when tidying up the cat rooms...the bowls might have extra fur tufts, bloated pieces of what was once dry food or maybe even an insect or two! Imagine her surprise and delight when she found BamBam all curled up and napping in one of these bowls! I think I can. I think I can. It was hot and Randy thought he could!! After gingering testing, inspecting and giving a thorough sniff-over, mighty Randy finally took the plunge....into his backyard pool. With Diva, his girlfriend and housemate closely keeping an eye on her man, she quietly beamed from the sidelines as her man took center stage and was awarded a ribbon for extreme bravery! Just one of many training steps Randy is taking to get into "shape" for the October Walk-a-Thon Fundraiser,
