This is what it's all about!

It can't get any better than this. Bliss (lt) home at last with her new best buddy, Toby. Her travel took her through 2 states to find the perfect match and by the looks of things, the effort made was more than worthwhile.

Poor, Poor Jake

Times are rough and tough for poor Jake. He certainly looks like a homeless kitty to me. Maybe we can get someone to sponsor him? I mean he has erected a cardboard house using discarded suppies. Next thing you know, he will be sneaking into the T&E building, grabbing stacks of newspaper and burning them just to stay warm. I think I can hear him rubbing his furry little paws together even as I type. Did I mention, poor Jake?

Riddle of the Day

What's black and white and wishes to be pet all over?? If you answered Ashton and Dani, then you win the prize. Prize, you ask? Why yes! You have now won an exclusive opportunity to meet this dynamic pair who pride themselves on holding down the new towels waiting for distribution in the cat trees. Hurry on by, because as you can see, these furry felines are definately in a big RUSH.....no really....and you'll not wish to miss meeting them.

Keeper of the Special Kitty Treats

Here at the Scratching Post, not only do I do an amazing job balancing on this holiday tin, BUT I am also in charge of distributing what's inside. Special cat treats reside inside and when I am feeling particularly benevolent, I gingerly lift off the lid and share the yummy delights with my roommates. If you look closely...or maybe you don't need to...you'll see I MIGHT have a few extra pounds on me, but I SWEAR it's not because I am treating the tin as a self serve eatery just for me! But don't take my word for it. Come on by today and see first hand, the fine work and daily miracles I make happen all the time. Zico.

Tiny Things in Great Packages!

Caregiver Ashley has found all kinds of "goodies" in the food bowls when tidying up the cat rooms...the bowls might have extra fur tufts, bloated pieces of what was once dry food or maybe even an insect or two! Imagine her surprise and delight when she found BamBam all curled up and napping in one of these bowls! A very new arrival at CFC, Bam Bam and her extended family from the Flintstone's group, are making themselves comfortable here on Campus. Come on by today and see why we think tiny packages are the best!!

I Think I Can!

I think I can. I think I can. It was hot and Randy thought he could!! After gingering testing, inspecting and giving a thorough sniff-over, mighty Randy finally took the plunge....into his backyard pool. With Diva, his girlfriend and housemate closely keeping an eye on her man, she quietly beamed from the sidelines as her man took center stage and was awarded a ribbon for extreme bravery! Just one of many training steps Randy is taking to get into "shape" for the October Walk-a-Thon Fundraiser,
Randy has his sights on raking in the big sponsorship bucks. Already, the competition is heating up with Millie and Leon strategizing and vieing for top sponsor dog. More from the competition later on..stayed tuned!

Puppies and More Puppies!

Oops!! Someone didn't get the email to wear their tan and white jacket for the photo op! No worries for super volunteer, George Tyler as he is already spoken for and has a home. Now for the other cutie-pies, they dressed appropriately for the camera lady and are actively interviewing for a new home. Sweet, cuddly and extremely playful, mom is a tree walking hound and dad is reported to be a low rising beagle. With ONLY six to select from, come on out and get your pick of the litter! Again...George is not available! LOL.

Laundry Room Floor at Scratching Post

The floor in the Scratching Post is able to finally bask in the glow of daylight. Normally covered with a mountain of dirty towels and it's view totally obscured, the floor can hardly believe it's good fortune. I thought I heard it gasp, "Wow, someone is actually walking on me and not just stacking the dirty -nasties on me. Ah..the feel of footprints on me, is simply too much to bear." A diligent team of CFC caretakers and volunteers brought such joy to the floor. Let's hope the floor can count on more "sunny" days to follow.

And Then There Were Five!!

Calliope has been working on a top secret project for the last several weeks. At long last, she revealed to all of us exactly WHAT she has been so diligently focusing on. Can you say FIVE kittens?? Delivered beginning of March, Calliope is busy tending to her multi-colored little furries in the Observation Room. Welcoming of visitors, Calliope has been a super mom as she dotes on her wee ones. Start thinking about which of the five little ones might be perfect for you!
